Forest Friends Outdoor Program

Service Description

Forest Friends is a holistic, nature-based after-school program for children ages 5–12, rooted in the belief that learning happens best through play, connection, and real-life experiences. Held at Heartsong Village Center, our program weaves together adventure-based learning, outdoor exploration, hands-on projects, movement, and the arts to spark curiosity and creativity. Through social-emotional learning, mindfulness practices, and gentle mentorship, we help children build emotional awareness, confidence, and resilience. Each child is supported as a unique individual, with opportunities for personal growth and light coaching to help them understand their strengths, navigate challenges, and feel seen and empowered. Whether we’re building forts, tending gardens, crafting with natural materials, sharing stories, or simply running wild and free in the forest, Forest Friends is a space for kids to belong, explore, and thrive—mind, body, and spirit.
